Evelyn Davie (owner/operator) designs for individuals as well as groups. With her years of experience, she is a professional and skilled designer. From Haute Couture to small accessories, all areas are covered here. Davie began sewing at the young age of eight under the tutelage of her older sisters. As a theatre student she began to understand the demand of the stage and lighting. Combining this with her skill to design, the door of theatre costuming was opened. Many years study into clothing history and sewing techniques allowed the costumes to become reproduction clothing. Always subject to budgets, of course. A desperate request from a local dance school in need of costumes called her into the dance world. Davie's passion of music was able to work with her creativity. Davie works closely with the choreographer, designing costumes that flow with the movement and the music. Dancer's comfort is considered as "a dancer who does not feel good in what they wear can not perform well". Many of these costumes have won recognition in international competitions. To round out the romantic side, Davie pours all her skills into bridal couture. Her calm nature is able to work with brides and help them plan their dream for the full bridal party, from the little ones on up. Mother's are one of her special skills.
